Warm drizzle all day
Arranged my room some more this A.M. Monkeyed around all day reading playing? on piano etc. Got a letter from Confer who has $4200, $300 down and $35 per month on our house and 1 lot, but we are not going to accept it as we might as well rent it for $35. In eve I beat Pa and Grand 1 game of 500. 11 eggs
Author note: 1916's $4200 would be about $105,000 today

Dull and moderate
Worked on the chair. Our tomatoes that we planted all came up fine and we transplanted several dozen of the plants, but there are piles of 'em yet. Have been eating fine radishes and onions for a week or more - peanuts, corn, melon etc. all up fine. Bean, peas, lettuce etc half grown. Loquats nearly ripe, and small almonds and saucer peaches. This afternoon I got Clint's lawn mower and cut all grass around here. Rode down and got groceries. To Library in evening. Ma and Pa to meeting. Started a letter to Stew. 10 eggs
