Ideal and warm
Pa and I drove over to packing house and they will want me to work for a few days beginning Wednesday I guess. I worked on my chair and finished it all except smoothing up and painting. In afternoon I transplanted the H. lettuce where it was too thick. Pa went to the large packing house and may get a job there. Read in eve. 7 eggs
Tues. March 28, 1916
Smoothed up my chair. At noon rode down and got some groceries. Pa and Grand set out 47 tomato plants (ones that we raised) and there are about 200 left I guess. I bought some white paint and painted my chair and (unclear word, looks like coat). Also started to make a new top for my fiddle. Read in eve on pruning and cultivating from the book I got on "Cal Fruits" by Wickson. Took bath . 8 eggs
