My Grandpa's grandfather's (Truman Griggs) house in Anaheim, Ca.

It is fine moderate weather here - a little foggy in A.M. till about 9:30 or so. Monkeyed around in the A.M.

Last night Mother and Aunt Ethel had a few words. Ethel, after we got here and Mother had a bad headache, would not give Mother her bed, but told her she would have to sleep on a couch.

Went down and got my bike at the express office - cost $4 and something to ship it out. Floyd and I went up to H. School and played 2 sets of tennis - I beat.

Anaheim High School shown in 1915 was built in 1912. Demo'd in 1934 due to earthquake damage

Took an auto to Golden Gate Park - thru the museum - back got our suit cases and took an auto to the dock. Walked uptown after checking our luggage and had lunch, looked around - down and took boat at 4 P.M. Quite rough when we got out and I got sick again - fed the fish for amusement. Lay down and to bed - did not eat any supper.

July 25 - 26, 1915

Sun. July 25, 1915

Fine sunny A.M.

Big white-caps waves - very pretty. Took pictures, watched them play on deck, "etc".. Towards new I got a little sick. Threw up a little ( Threw up a couple of times after the first time, yesterday) and went to cabin and slept again till we were near Frisco. The boat sure did roll some in the A.M. sometimes so much that you could hardly stand on deck (like this) [drawing of boat keeled over]. Yesterday after leaving Flavail we passed a boat and it sure did roll - 1st I have ever seen tossed upon the ocean blue.

Got in Frisco about 3:30 and went to a boarding house that some people that we had got acquainted with were going to - had a small room with a bed and a cot $1 a day. Went downtown in late aft. and in the eve we went to a large Cristian Science church near where we stay.

Very cool in Frisco esp. in morning and evening. Foggy in A.M. till 10 or 11 o'clock.

Went down and had SS. Co. telegraph for our tickets that a conductor took and didn't give back at Portland. Then out to The Expo and walked and saw all day and evening. Home about 9 and to bed.
