April 6 - 8, 1915

Tues. April 6, 1915

Warm, but not so sunny.

I went downtown and saw "Submarine Motion Pictures" at the "Strand." Home and bike ride. About 7:30 Cliff and I went to Sunday School teacher meeting. He and I stayed and talked with Mr. Blair for about half hour and then home.

Author Note: I believe the film above, a documentary title U.S. Navy of 1915 is the Submarine film referred to. It is more than just the subs. It shows all kinds work the sailors did. Really interesting.

The National Film Preservation Foundation says "The film was made with the full support of the Secretary of the Navy, Josephus Daniels, who believed in the power of motion pictures to convince isolationists of the importance of building a strong American navy." You can read more about the film on their site.
