Hot and fine
Painted till 2 P.M. Stew and I went swimming in the creek and then we walked down to 43rd and each got a hair cut. Had ice cream for supper. Stew and I walk down to Lake in eve and got caught in a rain - to bed.
Wed, July 14, 1915
Grocer's picnic day and so rain of course. Hard rain last night . Clear for awhile if aft.
Packed another box and brought down a trunk and we half packed two trucks. Bike ride in aft. Helped Pa paint in aft and eve. Pasted pictures in album and to bed.
Thurs. July 15, 1915
Cloudy - sunny rain in eve - hot
Over to Aunt Ethel's house in A.M. and looked around. Started to paint in P.M. but Sam Townsend dropped around. He lives it St. Louis now. We talked then I changed my clothes and we walked around and went over to Cedar where he is staying with Al Randall and a bunch of fellows in a cottage. In swimming there and then we came up and dressed and I took a jitney downtown - bought pair of shoes $3 and pair white sox. Home read, etc. and to bed. Am going canoeing with Sam tomorrow A.M.
